The Naval Museum is a space for research, conservation and dissemination of Spanish maritime history. It is located in a beautiful building of s. XVIII designed by Sánchez Bort and was former headquarters of Prisoners.

Characteristics

Located inside the Naval Base of Ferrol, in the former headquarters of Inmates known as San Campio, has an exhibition area of ​​over 1,250 m2. It is a museum where they are kept, preserved and exhibited remarkable objects of the Navy for the purpose of displaying and promoting the history and culture as well as promote awareness naval. Highlights include collections of switching elements (naval gear, steering gear, cavalry, etc), artillery, ships models, elements of shipbuilding, nautical instruments, flags, maps and a remarkable collection of electrical equipment for the second half of the century XIX. The museum is built around a large main hall and other ancillary smaller. Hours: Tuesday to Friday from 9:30 to 13:30, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10:30 to 13:30. Free entry
