San Julian

Gastronomic festival held on January 7, in the festivities dedicated to San Xiao (San Julián), patron of the city


Celebrations begin with a Mass in the Cathedral of San Julián, activities for children and free tasting of "arroz con leche", typical dish of Ferrol, in the Plaza de Armas. The rice pudding Ferrol has deserved reputation for its exquisite taste, creaminess and the thin layer of caramelized sugar that give that special touch that characterizes it. Also on that day the City Council appoints a character of the area as "Ferrolano the Year" for having excelled in defense and progress of the city
